In the absence of phenoxodiol (left), breast cancer cells are alive, growing rapidly, and remaining in close contact with each other. In the presence of phenoxodiol, the cancer cells have separated and are undergoing apoptosis.

Phenoxodiol has no effect on the survival or growth of normal breast cells.
